Book Club Kicks Off Big Week

I looked at the calendar and noticed that — whoa! — it’s a week of big events down at the old neighborhood bookstore. Not one but two enticing author events during Winter Walk, which I will scribble about more very soon. The River City Books fiction book club will kick things off when it meets at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4, to discuss The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. Of course, the club is free and open to the public. Participants receive great discounts on selected books. Consider stopping by, even if you’ve never been.
