Notes About the Happy Holiday

fireworks.gifIs there a better holiday than the Fourth of July? You get the day off. No one expects a present. Good barbecue often is involved. At night, someone usually lights up the sky with pretty colors. Then there’s the patriotism factor, too. At least the day is one of my favorites each year. Hope you have a fun, safe holiday.

As you might expect, in honor of the special day my good friends at River City Books are adjusting their hours. Yes, those devoted booksellers will be open — just not as long as is usually the case during an ordinary Tuesday. In fact, they are treating it like an ordinary Sunday, as RCB will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Note: Also holiday related … this bird is taking flight the rest of the week. No worries. I just need a little R&R and thought you’d like to know there may not be many updates to this blog for the next few days. I’ll be back around July 10, if not before. Thanks for your patience.
