We Were Just Talking About That …

Who was it I heard talking about this book … just the other day … oh, wait, that was me.

memory.jpgPossibly the River City Books fiction book club was listening in on my conversation because the group has decided to make that very title, The Memory Keeper’s Daughter by Kim Edwards, its October reading selection. Or, more likely, they were disregarding my ramblings altogether and simply decided to read the book because it looks like such a gripping tale and, by all accounts, is deftly told. Several heavy hitters in the literary world have lined up to sing the book’s praises.

The club meets the first Tuesday of each month. That means they met tonight — to discuss The Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See — and they will next gather at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 3, in the downstairs meeting area at River City.
