Are You Wearing It?

vote.jpgIf you read my ramblings you may think there isn’t anything in life more important than reading and buying great books and, well, you’d be right. Oh, wait! That’s not true. There are many things I count as more important than reading — taking care of loved ones, pursuing causes that help humankind, and, of course, putting a nifty bird feeder in one’s backyard.

That’s just a partial list, by the way. Here’s one more: voting. If you’re reading this blog today and you’re not wearing an “I Voted” sticker on your shirt, please step away from the machine, find your appropriate polling place, register (if you haven’t already) and pull the preferred lever.

Certainly that’s more important than most things most of us will do today — even if it means setting the book aside for 20 minutes.
