Harmon Leon Serving Up the Giggles

April 3, 2007

leon.jpgI don’t know much — I’m sure you’re thinking: tell me something I didn’t already know — but I do know one thing: You’ll giggle at least once.

As I mentioned in this space before, Harmon Leon, who has been called a “cross between Michael Moore and South Park,” will appear at 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, at The Contented Cow. Leon has received cult status because of his infiltrating exploits as written about in his three books, The Harmon Chronicles, Republican Like Me and The Infiltrator. He’s also become something of a Northfield favorite, bringing crowds to guffaws during previous events at River City Books and elsewhere. This time he’ll talk about his adventures and — this is something new — show a DVD of some of his infiltrations.

This free event is co-sponsored by River City and The Contented Cow.

By the way, River City is discounting each of Leon’s books 15 percent. If you can’t make it to the event but would like a signed copy, call the store (507-646-7754) and make arrangements with store manager Jon Lee.

Hope to see you at The Cow, one of my favorite Northfield watering holes.
