Your Grad’s True Colors

clothes.jpgIn Northfield, more than even most communities, spring is graduation time. With two colleges and a good-sized high school, every year we have hundreds and hundreds of grads in our midst. As I think I’ve mentioned once or 384 times, books and gift cards for books make terrific gifts — either for the grad or for that special teacher who deserves a pat on the back.

But books aren’t the only options at ye old neighborhood bookstore. No! In fact, as customers have noticed for a week or more now, the store has begun to display its college garb on the sidewalk and, of course, there is even more in the bargain basement (which is where I snapped this photo — click to enlarge).

Many of these T-shirts and sweatshirts — including those for the tots (it’s never to early to promote Carleton or St. Olaf) — are on sale for low prices. Get ’em while you can.
