RCB Hosting Authors During Winter Walk

honor.jpgAh, Winter Walk. The night downtown Northfield turns into a wonderland of holiday cheer. Perhaps the only problem folks will have Thursday night is trying to do and see it all.

Well, after you have your face painted, sing a few carols, and munch on some candy from Santa’s elves – and, hey, get some shopping in! — I hope you will consider taking a few minutes to stop by River City Books. That night the store will host not one but two author events.

William Hammond will appear at 6 p.m. to discuss and sign his new book A Matter of Honor. The first volume in a series of maritime novels set in the early years of the United States, “A Matter of Honor” is a dramatic account of a young man’s coming of age during the American Revolution.

beatles.jpgAt 7 p.m., author and photographer Bill Carlson will appear to discuss and sign his new photography book The Beatles! A One-Night Stand in the Heartland: A Collection of Original Photographs from August 21, 1965. The book adds a new chapter to the Beatles’ story. In it, Carlson brings to Beatles fans, photography aficionados, and history buffs more than 160 never-before-published photographs that document one day in the life of the Beatles on tour.

Of course, both events are free.

Hope to see you in the store or about town during the best night of the season.
