Frankly, My Dear, It’s A Big Book

wind.jpgMembers of the ever-ambitious River City Books fiction book club always impress me — and perhaps never more than they are right now. That’s because the club is currently reading Gone With the Wind, a book that most definitely is not going to get blown away by the wind.

Scarlett, Rhett and all the other famed characters of the historic epic will be discussed in the first of two meetings pertaining to Margaret Mitchell’s Pulitzer-Prize winning work when the group gathers tomorrow night (Tuesday, March 4). Start time is 7 p.m. Meeting place is in the store’s downstairs. During this meeting members will discuss the first half of the book. They will undertake the second half for their April meeting.

The boilerplate: The club meets the first Tuesday of the month. Participants receive 20 percent off selected titles. The club is free and open to the public.
