No Kidding: Perry’s Scheduled a Visit to RCB

One of my very favorite writers, Michael Perry, I am juiced to report, is on his way to River City Books. Perry, author of Population: 485, will appear at RCB from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25, in conjunction with the release of his new book, Truck: A Love Story.

Perry won’t read from the book, but he will sign copies and talk to readers. “Truck” will be published Oct. 17. River City is taking pre-orders on the book and offering 15 percent off the cover price for all pre-orders.

Obviously, I will be writing more about this event as the date draws closer. Especially after I get my hands on a copy of the book. I can’t tell the difference between a Bronco and a fire engine, but Perry’s such a great writer that it doesn’t matter what he’s writing about, I am going to sink my teeth into his prose.
